Science Copywriter with Social Media Expertise

About the Job:

We are looking for a highly motivated and talented copywriter and social media manager with a passion for space science and the ability to communicate effectively through social media and digital communication tools. The ideal candidate should have strong writing abilities, experience in science communication, and a good understanding of social media platforms.​

Responsibilities:

• Research and write engaging, accurate, storytelling, and informative content about Earth Observation topics.

• Create social media content, including posts, tweets, and other material, that effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to a general audience.

• Collaborate with designers, remote sensing specialists, and other team members to produce high-quality content across various media.

• Keep up to date with the latest developments in space science and social media trends to ensure the content is timely, relevant, and engaging.​

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as science, communications, or journalism.

• In-depth knowledge or proven experience in communication activities related to space, with a focus on Earth Observation.

• Fully fluent in English (oral and written).

• Working knowledge of a second language, with preference given to Spanish.

• Strong writing and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

• Proven experience in social media management.

• Understanding of SEO and digital marketing principles.

• Creative problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as part of a highly decentralized team.
