Communication Consultant
and Project Manager

About the Role 

ALSO Space is looking for a Communication Consultant with a passion for the space sector to contribute to communication and outreach projects in the field of Earth Observation (EO).

Responsibilities 

• Assist in designing and implementing communication strategies to foster outreach and user engagement. 

• Collaborate with team members to create compelling narratives which simplify complex scientific data for diverse audiences. 

• Organise and coordinate events and training sessions to promote stakeholder engagement and awareness. 

• Contribute to project implementation by documenting processes and maintaining records of outreach activities. 

• Contribute to studies on user requirements gathering and participate in strategic planning initiatives. 

• Write and edit articles, social media posts, and press releases.

• Project management.

Skills and Qualifications 

• Degree related to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Communication Science, Space, or a related field 

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; knowledge of other European languages (especially Spanish or French) would be a differentiator 

• Familiarity with social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn, Instagram, Bluesky and X 

• Experience with CMS (i.e. Wordpress, Drupal, etc.) and mass mail marketing tools

• >1 year of experience in a similar role 

• Strong problem-solving skills, coupled with an eagerness to develop both her/its qualitative and quantitative analytical abilities 

• A quick learner, adaptable, organised and detail-oriented, able to deliver on time and to maintain high quality standards 

• Ability to work both independently and as an effective member of a decentralised team 

• Ability to take occasional international day trips 

• Proficient in MS Office Suite and other relevant software tools
